Oh where to even begin with Aly & Hunter? Theirs is a love story that is hard to capture in words. Their story runs deep and is full of laughter, joy, family, and of course; love.
I had the distinct privilege of spending Friday evening with Aly, Hunter, and their family and friends as they had a beautiful and intimate ceremony. Following their ceremony we all gathered at Crow Valley Golf Club for dinner and company. During that time Hunter’s parents invited anyone in the room up to the mic to say a few words about Hunter and Aly.
The next 30-40 minutes was filled with parents, grandparents, friends, roommates, cousins, aunts and uncles; all retelling eight years worth of stories of Aly and Hunter. There were so many great stories to reshare but my favorite had to be from Aly’s Grandma.
She recalled when she went to a baseball game with Aly as a young girl. Aly told her Grandma, ‘You see that boy over there? His name is Hunter. I like him, but he’s going with someone else.’ And her Grandma told her not to give up, and here we are eight years later and she didn’t give up!!
Aly and Hunter share one of those love stories that feels like you are in a Nicholas Sparks novel. They are seriously two of the sweetest, kindest, genuine people you will ever meet. And the fact that they found each other in high school is simply amazing.
I have so enjoyed spending the last year with Aly and Hunter through their proposal, engagement session, their wedding ceremony, and then their rockin party that followed! We had such an amazing day complete with bed jumping, car honking, dropping Hunter on Brock’s head (oops), and not one but TWO surprise group dances. I feel lucky to play a small part in their magnificent love story. <3
