A Downtown Davenport Wedding

Our first wedding back since COVID and it felt soooo great! Not to mention just the perfect couple to make the day extra joyful! 

The girls started off their day with mimosas and bagels at Salon Halo in Bettendorf for hair and makeup. Sarah was calm all morning and didn’t let anything get her down, not even the radar tempting us with rain during their outdoor ceremony. 

Connor was adamant that he did not want to see his bride until she walked down the aisle, but they did find a corner to hold hands and pray together moments before they would say “I Do”. And when he finally did see Sarah walk down the aisle it was SO worth the wait! Seeing Connor process every emotion from crying, big smiles, to rocking back and forth on his feet as Sarah walked down the aisle, there was not a dry eye in the wedding party. The sun went behind the clouds at the perfect time giving them a beautiful overcast Ceremony. 

After a beautiful ceremony at Sacred City they hoped on the party bus and headed Downtown Davenport to the Up Sky Bar for some bridal party photos. Timing could not have been more perfect with when it started raining on us and then cleared up the rest of the night. My favorite part was when we were setting up the bridal party by the Figgie to get ready to pop a LARGE bottle of champagne and it popped before any of us were ready, but it turned out to be hilarious anyways! 

Sarah and Connor had their Reception downtown at The Stardust. Which was perfectly spaced out to respect the new COVID policies. Happy Joes Pizza for dinner… ummmm yes please!!! Their entire wedding was kid free except for the adorable flower girl who stole the show with her dance moves all night. The night ended in lots of dancing. Congratulations again Mr & Mrs Welvaert!!
