I met Allison and Josh about a year and a half ago when they were excitedly planning there wedding at the Watchtower Lodge.  Back then it seemed so far away, I can’t believe it came so quickly.  Allison and Josh have been together for seven years and were so ready for this day to finally arrive!!

It was such a nice relaxing day preparing for the wedding since their ceremony wasn’t until 5:30.  (Can I just say that I love evening ceremonies?!)  The guys got ready at Allison and Josh’s house and the girls were staying at the Raddison to get ready.  Everyone was in such high spirits, you could feel the excitement all around.

We arrived at the Watchtower Lodge ready to party (after the I Do’s of course).  Their ceremony took place right in front of a field of prairie grass with a beautiful Arbor provided by AAA Rentals.  Outdoor ceremonies are my absolute favorite!  There’s just something about the gorgeous lighting and the outdoor sounds and scenery that make it so surreal and special.

One of my favorite parts of the day was a portion of their ceremony where they tied a rope into a knot to symbolize their union.  They pulled tight to ensure that the rope would never come undone (that is, until someone hands it to a Groomsmen who unties is…  😮 )  It was so special and unique. Something they can keep to remember their special day forever.

What a wonderful day they had surrounded by all of their family and friends.  Seriously, Allison was glowing and could NOT stop smiling all day.  And Josh was just a bundle of emotions.  He was tearing up before he even turned around to see his beautiful Bride.  (insert *awwwwww* here).   It was seven years in the making but I don’t think their wedding day could have been any better.  Thank you both for choosing us to capture your special day!
