I can’t even begin to describe Julee & Kevin’s wedding to you.  I knew this was going to be one of our biggest weddings of the year, but I had no idea all that this day would hold.

Julee is a lover of all the glitz and the glam and is wittingly referred to as ‘Princess Julee’.  From the first time I met Julee she had big ideas and dreams for her wedding day, and without a doubt it all came true!

Neither Julee nor Kevin are from the Quad City area but they both met while attending Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.  As fate would have it the two fell in love and began building a beautiful life together.

They graduated college, both acquired jobs in the Quad City area, purchased a house and adopted the PERFECT chocolate lab; Benjee (who basically stole the show at the wedding with his tuxedo collar and floral wreath).

It seemed fitting that since they began and built their lives together here in the Quad Cities, that that is where they would celebrate their wedding!  Wedding planning was not without it’s tribulations and BOY did Julee seem to hit every roadblock along the way.  But with love and support from Kevin and her boss-lady Mama; Leesa, everything came together beautifully.

This was our first time capturing a Jewish wedding and I hope it’s not our last!  I loved learning about all of the traditions and the meanings behind a different culture.  And let me tell you; Jewish people know how to PARTY!!

As soon as we got into the reception they started up the Hora and it was a straight up celebration.  Every single person was out on the dance floor, holding hands, twirling around, and shouting joyously.  Liana and I jumped right in the middle of the action to capture it all and I couldn’t contain myself from laughing the entire time because it was so much fun.

To top off all of the fun festivities from the day; Julee and Kevin had Whitey’s delivered for dessert and Taco Bell delivered as a late night snack.  I don’t think you could end the night any more perfectly then that.

Julee & Kevin’s wedding was an absolute dream and I am so incredibly happy that we had the honored that we were able to document it.
