Nicole and Tyler had the most amazing wedding at Hotel Blackhawk in Downtown Davenport. I remember when Tyler contacted me earlier this year. It was a little out of the ordinary as most of the time we have a bride contacting us to book. After chatting with Nicole she said that Tyler took the reigns and planned most of their wedding day! Which I totally love any groom that is involved in wedding day decisions, so that was so much fun to hear.
They had a beautiful catholic ceremony at Sacred Heart Cathedral just up the road. The rain pattered lightly on the roof as the big wooden double doors swung upon to reveal Nicole standing with her dad at the end of the long carpeted aisle.
Tyler and Nicole had opted not to do a first look so this was the first time he was seeing his bride on this crisp fall day. Nicole smiled and laughed as she walked down the aisle, and Tyler waited anxiously to see his beautiful bride.
Their ceremony was beautiful and meaningful. My favorite part was when everyone in the congregation prayed over them. All of the outstretched arms representing the many people that had poured into both Nicole and Tyler’s lives. Making them the people they are today. Representing the hands that would uphold them in their marriage and those that would carry them when they need it most. It was so beautiful and touching.
After their ceremony we wandered around Downtown Davenport before making our way back to the Blackhawk for their reception.
Nicole and Tyler had not seen their reception space yet and they had a really fun room reveal to see the gorgeous space transformed into their wedding reception.
We had a very fun reception complete with many laughs, beautiful toasts, and the best dancing in the whole Quad Cities. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day. <3
