Well, this engagement session happened last summer.  It’s no secret that I am WAY behind on blogging all of the beautiful sessions that we’ve had the opportunity of capturing last year.  But with Laura and Austin’s wedding happening THIS weekend, I thought it was high time that I shared their gorgeous sun filled session.

Laura and Austin  have been together for quite some time and are just darling together.  They’ve spent quite a bit of time apart as Austin serves in the United States Air Force and is currently stationed in Germany!

He’s made a few trips back to spend time with his family and of course his soon-to-be wife!!  One of those trips included their engagement session which I am SO happy they were able to fit in.

This pair is full of all of the laughs and totally down for whatever – which included climbing through quite the patch of prickly weeds to get to a yellow flower field for some photos.  (Ya’ll know as photographers we adore clients that will go the extra mile just for the shot 😉 )

Like any typical military man Austin wasn’t to keen on getting photos taken in his military uniform.  It’s something I totally understand especially since my husband is the service.  It’s not something they want to feel like they are flaunting but rather would serve humbly and with pride.  Being a military spouse though I know the Military Wife pride that we have and we are so proud of our men for how they are serving their country and we love to celebrate that.

I’m happy Austin let Laura have her way and they took some photos in his uniform (I’m just going to call it that because I know if I try to get technical I’m going to call it the wrong thing hahaha!).  They are some of my favorite photos from the entire session.
