Excited voices filled with love and laughter echoed in the vast spaces all around Founders Hall at Augustana College this Sunday afternoon. Friends from all over had traveled and gathered to celebrate their wonderful friends’ love. The sun was shining through the trees with a cool crisp breeze following. Something that is not often felt in July but showed up just in time for Kelly & Nate’s wedding. What a beautiful day it was.
These two met in New York but fell in love at their home away from home in Augustana College. Both Nate & Kelly enjoy the fine arts and found common ground in their passions and hobbies. It was only fitting that they would return to their old stomping grounds to declare their love for each other in a life long promise.
The best parts of the day were in the small moments. When Kelly read a note from Nate in her Bridal Suite just moments before she was to walk down the aisle and meet her groom. Her eyes welled with tears which she dabbed away tenderly; sheer joy and happiness radiating from her body. As Nate watched his Bride walking down the aisle with nothing but a lovers grin plastered across his face. While the bridal party looked onto Nate and Kelly’s portraits being taken and you could here the hushed ooo’s and ahh’s of admiration at their best friends.
What a wonderful day and a wonderful wedding. Congratulations Nate & Kelly, may you find the utmost happiness in your lives together!
