Jess and Justin were just the cutest couples you’ve seen.  Jess CAN NOT stop laughing and giggling.  Seriously – none of those laughs were fake.  She is just the sweetest happiest person.  The whole session Justin just kept taking turns laughing with her and watching her with eyes that gleamed of pride.

Jess’ mom contacted me a month or so ago telling me that her daughter had gotten engaged and was getting married in December!  I met her mom at a Women’s Bible Study in DeWitt, oh about three years ago.  I haven’t attended the Bible study in a year or two since we moved away from DeWitt and I popped out two more kiddos.  But she and I have remained in touch through the almighty Facebook.  🙂

Funnily enough – after I let her know that I was free and we talked some logistics – she sent Jess my information to see if she was interested in having me photograph their wedding.  Jess already knew who I was because I had photographed numerous weddings for some friends she had at Harvest!  I love this small little world we have here in the large Quad Cities.  😀

I met Jess and Justin out at Jess’s parents land for their engagement session.  Boy, talk about gorgeous land.  Everywhere you look it is sooooo pretty.  And their house is so beautiful and full of light.  I am extremely excited to photograph the getting ready festivities of the wedding there!

We walked around the property, then headed to her uncle’s property close by to do some additional photos.  On the way back to her parents’ house we stopped in the middle of the road and decided to take some photos there.  Guys – everyone thinks location is the biggest deal when it comes to taking photos.  Let me tell you; you can have great light and make any location work.  Just take a look at the road photos!

December is coming up quick and I can’t wait to celebrate with these guys and capture their wonderful day.

Fieldstone Photography is now accepting weddings for 2018 and 2019 in the Quad Cities, Iowa City, Des Moines, and surrounding areas.
