This past Saturday we started our wedding season with a bang celebrating the marriage of Amanda and Brad! It was a beautifully sunny and warm day. Maybe a little too warm, but with our recent string of snow falls, low temps, and thunderstorms- I think we were all just happy to see some good weather.
Amanda and Brad are both extremely laid back and fun people. Meeting with them prior to their wedding I knew it was going to be just a blast to photograph them and their friends. Wedding day proved to be no different as the atmosphere throughout the day was that of joy, fun, and laughter. But one thing we kept hearing was about how nervous Brad was.
When I begin talking with him on the way to the first look you could definitely tell that he was dealing with some nerves. There’s a lot of pressure to deal with on your wedding day – having to say your vows, smiling and looking good in all of your photos, making sure all of your guests are comfortable and entertained. Not the mention the fact that you are committing yourself to the person you love for the rest of your life! It is a momentous day, so it’s no wonder everyone is a bundle of emotions.
Brad & Amanda shared my favorite first look I’ve ever had. Brad was so nervous and excited to see Amanda and it was very evident just from looking and talking to him. As soon as he turned around and looked at his beautiful new Bride, his eyes watered with tears and his mouth dropped open, then Amanda’s face lit up with sheer happiness. It was a moment of pure joy from both of them, and the love and emotion was evident as ever.
