I had a blast last week at Jaclyn and Aaron’s engagement session in Downtown Davenport! You never know what you are going to get with an Iowa winter. We already had to cancel our first engagement session due to a snow storm that produced 9 inches of sleet and snow and near sub zero temperatures.
This time the temperature was looking up but the mist and rain were coming down! Jaclyn and Aaron were game to go ahead with the session though. And it turned out just the best. As fate would have it, Jaclyn actually ended up informing me that the foggy mist was her favorite type of weather. How awesome to have that in your engagement photos then!?
We ventured around the Downtown Davenport area taking photos here and there. Tromping through some mud and braving the loud street noise coming from nearby (or right next to my body) traffic and trains. We made sure to include the Centennial Bridge in their portraits as well as that is something significant to their relationship.
Despite the cold and the rain I had a wonderful time getting to know Jaclyn and Aaron even more. I am so very excited to capture their wedding this July at the Oakwood Country Club! It is going to be the best day and I feel blessed to be a part of it.
Enjoy a little preview of their engagement portraits!
