I met with Alexandra and Cody to talk about their late November wedding at Blackhawk State Park. During our meeting we got to talking. I showed them a sample gallery that happened to be a wedding I had shot at Camp Abe Lincoln. I began telling them about how I was married at Camp Abe Lincoln and different things that I liked about the venue. Throughout our conversation I realized that they were settling on their date due to unavailability of their current venue.
That evening I received a phone call from Alexandra letting me know that she and Cody had drove out to Camp Abe Lincoln right after our meeting and had fallen in love with the place! They had already called and secured a new October wedding date that they were very excited about. Then they asked if I would want to photograph their wedding. My answer; of course, was yes!
We headed out on a gorgeous early fall evening for their engagement session. The weather and the sun were absolutely perfect, and the session turned out beautifully. These two are such a cute pair, including their couples yoga that we threw in at the end! If there’s one thing we love it’s incorporating who you are into your engagement session and capturing that in your portraits!
I am so looking forward to Alexandra and Cody’s wedding at Camp Abe Lincoln in October- I know it’s going to be an absolute blast!
